To me, photography is a visual form of storytelling. Another way to build a narrative with light, connection and personality. My mission is to create portraits and brand material that read like a well loved book. If that’s classic and full of depth, or light and fun, you get to drive that narrative. Whether I’m capturing a family chapter, a senior on the brink of something new, or a business ready to make a statement, my motto is simple: every image is a story worth keeping.

Hello! I’m Emily, the photographer behind Reed & Relic Photography.

As an avid reader, lover of a good lake view, and part-time home builder, you can normally find me with a camera in one hand, and kindle in the other. My passion for photography began in a high school darkroom, long before I knew it would become such a meaningful part of my life. I picked up my camera more seriously when my husband and I started building our dream house. Documenting the progress, the mess and all the tiny details worth remembering. I also became an aunt around that time and watching my nieces and nephews grow has taught me how quickly time changes, and how important it is to preserve it. 

Whether I’m photographing seniors, families, or small business owners, I’m here to help you capture this chapter of your life in a way that feels true to you.
